When shifters and other paranormals made their presence known to society, they expected some judgment and persecution but what they weren’t prepared for was the group of fanatics called The Mankind Defense (TMD). The TMD made it their mission to eradicate all shifter and those that support them. In the early years after the TMD was formed a book was written about shifters, their weaknesses and how to destroy them. As time went by, the legend of the infamous book grew and although no one has seen it in years there have been rumors and rumblings of sightings.
Brick, Alpha of the Cross Plains Pack, and his beta, Duke, are on a mission to locate and destroy the original and last remaining copy of the book. Until Brick can track down the book and protect his species, he doesn’t have time for any distractions. But he never expected to meet a woman like Ivy.
As the hunger for his mate increases, Brick has no choice but to give in to his desires.
This book is a great read, I finished it in one day. Watching Brick and Duke’s shenanigans throughout the book was fantastic. I really hope Duke gets his own book because I’d love to meet the woman that can bring him to his knees like Ivy does with Brick🙂
