Review:

This book picks up right in the thick of things. Aster is in pursuit of magic wielding thugs while trying to solve the murder of three witches. As she gets closer to finding the killer she also gets closer to the three Koda clan brothers. And here’s where things get interesting:)
Each Koda brother has his own magic and appeal for Aster and there’s no way she can pick just one, which works out for everyone. Together, the bonded four become more powerful than any coven has seen and it’s going to take all of their power to stop the demon magic that has been unleashed.
I love the connection and emotion that these characters feel for one another, not to mention the ridiculously hot sex. This series is a must read for reverse harem PNR fans.

This is the first book I’ve read by A.J. Adams and I liked the way that she creates her own world with a mixture of Anglo-Saxon England with Medieval England, the Teutonic Kingdom and the Viking Age.

Some of the characters and their actions may be shocking to some readers but there are plenty of warnings before you jump into this book.
That being said, the story starts out violent and shocking when the Beasts seemingly raid and sack a normally peaceful city. But as the story unfolds and the character’s actions are explained, things are not necessarily what they seem. By the end of the book my opinion of the Beasts had completely changed and I was very interested in Wynne and Rune’s relationship.

In the early years after the TMD was formed a book was written about shifters, their weaknesses and how to destroy them. As time went by, the legend of the infamous book grew and although no one has seen it in years there have been rumors and rumblings of sightings.

This book is a great read, I finished it in one day. Watching Brick and Duke’s shenanigans throughout the book was fantastic. I really hope Duke gets his own book because I’d love to meet the woman that can bring him to his knees like Ivy does with Brick🙂
